About JNCASR: Overview

JNCASR, or Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, is a multifaceted research institute. JNCASR Admission Process

If you're interested in applying for postgraduate or doctoral programmes at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, then follow the steps listed below:

  • Application form: The interested candidate must visit the official website for the application process. The candidate who fills out the online application form. i.e., the official website, then he/she will be considered.
  • Payment: After filling out the form, the candidate needs to pay the application fee, which is INR 750, through NEFT. Only online payment is acceptable, and the application fee is not refundable.
  • Selection: The candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic performance in any national-level exams. Then, the shortlisted candidates will be selected based on the written exam conducted by the institute. Finally, an interview will be conducted only for doctoral programmes.

Summer Research Fellowship Programme:

  • Students with more than 65% in their core papers, and who have scored a good mark in 10, +2, and should have received a first class in all the previous semesters.
  • The students who are in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year in bachelors or masters in the domains of Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Life Sciences, Chemical Biology, and Materials Science are eligible.
  • The candidate can apply for the programme, and is required to pay the application fee of INR 500, which is paid online.
  • The selected student will get an amount of INR 10,000 every month.

JNCASR University Cutoff

Campus Life, Infrastructure and Facilities at JNCASR:

Hostel: The Jawahar Students Hostel has 15 rooms, with facilities like mess services, laundry, a well-established gym, Table Tennis, Badminton, snacks, and more. Making students feel at home.

Research facilities: The institution has various research laboratories like BRF(Biology Research Facility), NSM(National Supercomputing Mission), and more. For doing research with animals, the JNCASR has an experimentation room with rats, mice, and rabbits. The experimentation with animals is under the control of the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee and regulated under the guidelines of the GOI.

Auditorium: The auditorium is built in order to conduct diverse events like Seminars, Conferences, or any other events. The auditorium has a seating capacity of 450 members.
