Q.1 Is IISER Pune better than any IITs?
The choice entirely depends on the interests and career goals of the respective students. IITs mostly promote the students to land in high-paying corporate or technical jobs; research in IITs is also more technology-oriented. If a person is genuinely interested in a subject and wants to pursue a research career in natural sciences, IISER Pune would be a much better option.
Q.2 Is IAT a tougher exam than JEE?
According to the opinion of the students and the experts, IAT is considered slightly tougher than JEE Mains. But the exam is relatively easier than JEE Advanced.
Q.3 What is the format of IAT?
IAT is a CBT-based exam consisting of 60 questions (15 from each section of Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) with a duration of 180 minutes. Thus, the maximum mark in IAT is 240. Each correct answer would be awarded 4 marks, and with each negative answer, there will be a deduction of 1 mark.
