The Armed Forces Medical College also referred to as AFMC, is one of its kind, being the first university in any Asian country to be set up by an Armed Force. It was established in the year 1948 on 1st May in Pune with the aim of combining medical education with training in the Armed Forces, specifically for health care needs. With a campus stretching across 119 acres, it is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and is approved by NMC. The admission 2025 at the Armed Forces Medical College for several training programs is currently going on. The institution has a multi-stage selection process with candidates mainly selected based on merit. For the MBBS flagship program, the eligible students must have a minimum score of 50% in 10+2 with PCB. Further, the final selection round involves your NEET-UG scores and MCC Counselling. The total seats for 2025 have already been taken, 115 boys and 30 girls (150 seats). Meanwhile, for AFMC UG programs, the admissions require the candidate's NEET-UG score and NEET-PG scores for enrollment in PG programs with 50% in MBBS.
