The Kerala Board Of Public Examinations, also known as KBPE, is responsible for overseeing and regulating the intermediate and higher education in Kerala. KBPE Board- History

The KBPE was established in the year of 1965, mainly with the purpose of propagating education to all sections of the people. The motto of the board is “Reach the Unreached” within Kerala via a private or public mode of education. The board aims to concentrate on the education of the sidelined socio-economic and religious sections in the State. 

KBPE Board- An Overview

The Kerala Board of Public Examinations, i.e. the KBPE, is an independent department for education. It is responsible for conducting the Public Examinations like HSC, SSLC, A LEVEL, KTET, TTC, THSLC, and KGTE. KBPE functions directly under the Ministry of Secondary Education, Government of Kerala and aims to promote world-class education in Kerala.

The KBPE performs various functions in its capacity as the main educational board in Kerala. Some of the most notable functions are prescribing the syllabus, devising courses of study, conducting exams, and providing directions and support. The board also gives affiliations to new institutions.

The main functions of KBPE are:

KBPE- Exams and Date sheet

The Kerala Board conducts the SSLC and Plus 2 board exams every year in March or April. For the last year, the SSLC (Class 10) exams were conducted from 31 March 2022 to 12 April 2022. The DHSE Plus 2 exams were conducted from 30 March 2022 to 22 April 2022. For 2023, the date sheet has not been announced yet. Once released, we will update it here on the page.

The Kerala Board, commonly known as KBPE, is responsible for conducting the Class 10 and 12 board exams and announcing the results. The DHSE and SSLC results are released online by the board on their official website: keralaresults.nic.in and dhsekerala.gov.in.
