AIAPGET Application Process

The AIAPGET follows an extensive application process. Here is a step-by-step guide on it.

Before You Begin

Before even opening the form, keep these things ready so you don’t have to scramble around:

  • A computer with good internet (a mobile might not cut it)
  • Your valid government ID details (Aadhaar/Passport/EPIC/Ration Card/Bank Account Number)
  • Your Class 10 certificate (for date of birth)
  • Educational details (marks, degrees, etc.)
  • A scanned passport photo (JPG/JPEG, 10–200 kb) – 80% face showing, no mask, plain white background
  • A scanned signature (JPG/JPEG, 4–30 kb) – written in running handwriting on white paper
  • If you're PwD – your certificate in PDF (50–300 kb)
  • List of 2 preferred cities for the exam
  • Your email ID and mobile number (you’ll get all official updates here)
  • Online payment ready via debit/credit card, UPI or net banking

Step 1: Online Registration

  • Go to https://exams.nta.ac.in/AIAPGET/
  • Click on "Apply Online"
  • Enter your name, parents' names, date of birth exactly as in your Class 10 certificate
  • Give your own mobile number and email – this is where updates will go

Step 2: Fill the Application Form

  • After registration, you’ll get a system-generated Application Number. Note it down
  • Fill out all the details – personal, academic, and contact info
  • Select your category (General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS) carefully
  • Pick two exam cities based on where you live
  • Fill both permanent and current addresses (with correct PIN codes)

Step 3: Upload Documents

Now upload:

  • Your passport photo – clear, white background, face visible (no hats, no fancy filters)
  • Your signature – full, running handwriting, not typed in CAPS
  • PwD candidates – upload your certificate in PDF

Make sure all uploads are within the required file size limits.

Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

  • Use any of these: Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI
  • Payment goes through HDFC or Canara Bank gateway
  • Save a screenshot or receipt of the fee payment

Step 5: Confirm Everything

Once payment is done:

  • Download the confirmation page of your application
  • Print at least 4 copies and keep them safe
  • That’s it! You’re officially done with your application

Important Points to Keep in Mind

  • You can apply only once. Multiple applications = automatic rejection
  • All corrections must be done during the correction window only
  • No edits allowed after the form closes
  • Mobile number and email ID should be yours only — don’t use your coaching centre’s
  • Don’t send anything by post/email/fax to NTA – it’s all online
  • Aadhaar is optional – any valid Govt ID works
  • NTA doesn't verify your details at this stage. Your documents will be checked later by your allotted institute
  • If your name has changed (due to marriage, etc.), bring proof on exam day

AIAPGET Mock Test

There is an official mock test on the NTA website for AIAPGET. You should definitely opt for it as it will make you familiar with the topic altogether and prepare you on a mental scale.

AIAPGET Exam Preparation Strategy

Step 1: Understand Your Syllabus

The first thing you should do to get ready for the AIAPGET is to learn as much as you can about the subjects that will be on the test. Go over all the topics carefully and find out which ones are the hardest to finish. But don't skip any topics.

Step 2: Learn how the test works

You should also learn about the AIAPGET exam pattern. Knowing the exam format helps you understand things like how long you have to finish the paper, how many questions there are, how the marks are given, and what the different parts are. These things will help you manage your time.

Step 3: Learn how to handle your time

Once you know how the test will be set up, you may plan how to use your time when you take it. You need to figure out how much time each question or segment needs and then plan how to use your time wisely. Knowing the exam syllabus and how hard certain topics are will help you figure out how much time you need to spend on each one when you study. For example, if you have a hard time getting ready for a subject, you can spend more time getting ready for it than you would for an easier subject.

Step 4: Write down a schedule

It's time to establish a study plan or schedule now that you know how to manage your time and what the exam will cover. When you make a schedule, you need to remember to leave some time for fun things. Find a way to mix studying with things that help you relax and clear your mind.

Step 5: Make changes

Revision is the key to getting ready well. You can't study new things every day without going over them again, because otherwise you might forget some of what you've learnt. So, it's always a good idea to go over the things you've already learnt and make sure to put them on your schedule or study plan.

Step 6: Work on sample papers, question papers from previous years, and mock tests.

After you have done all of the procedures above, the next step is to take practice tests to see how well you are ready. These tests are useful in a lot of ways. These tests help you figure out how well you are prepared, which topics are still hard for you to answer, if you can manage your time during the test, and sometimes, you can see how often questions are repeated in papers from different years.
