1800-102-2727While there are many engineering colleges in India that offer undergraduate engineering courses, the Indian Institute of Technology has always been a pioneer in churning out world-class engineers year after year. At the forefront of innovation, IITs are known to be constantly working towards innovation in the conventional engineering domains as well as the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence, deep learning, the Internet of Things, and blockchains.
Everyone has heard of how great it would be to get admission to an IIT. However, do you know why it would be so great? It is because IITians are constantly involved in making the world a better place using their exceptional knowledge and skills. During the COVID-19 pandemic, an acute shortage of oxygen was felt across the country. To combat this, students and researchers at IIT Bombay developed an ingenious solution to convert readily available nitrogen generators into oxygen generators. This is the kind of service that IIT stands for and believes in.
What’s more? An IIT graduate is viewed as more talented, skilled, and capable compared to other engineers in not only India but also the global job market. IIT graduates are offered some of the highest salary packages in India and get the opportunity to work on sophisticated projects in the finest technology and research facilities all over the world!
Earlier known as IIT JEE, JEE Advanced is the second part of the JEE entrance examination. It is conducted after the JEE Main exam and it is a crucial test for engineering aspirants wishing to seek admission to IITs.
JEE Advanced is conducted online all over the country and is overseen by seven IITs on a rotational basis - IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, and IIT Guwahati. The examination is conducted under the guidance of JAB, the JEE Apex Board, and you need to clear this exam if you want to pursue a career in engineering or architecture in the premier institutes of India.

JEE Advanced is considered one of the most competitive exams in the world. If you are an IIT aspirant, you need to have a strong preparation plan and support system. Taking guidance from coaches and examination experts who have experience in training engineering aspirants can do wonders for your engineering career.
Make sure you are managing your time well. JEE Advanced is not the kind of exam for which you can study at the last moment. To achieve a good rank in JEE Advanced you need a very strong grasp on basic concepts and how they apply to the real world. This can only happen when you put in dedicated and consistent hours of study and get mentored properly.
Where to Start?
Starting the JEE Advanced preparation can be overwhelming but do not let it bring you down! To start with, make sure that you fulfill the eligibility requirements for JEE Advanced 2023. Next, familiarize yourself with the exam pattern for JEE Advanced 2023. Go through the updated syllabus, chapter-wise weightage, and pay attention to trends from previous years. Once you have an idea about how much effort you need to put in, you can start making your JEE Advanced 2023 exam preparation plan.

Use other books for reference to understand concepts and to practice more. Here are some books that experts recommend you should follow to crack JEE Advanced 2023:
Top Books for JEE Advanced Physics Preparation
Top Books for JEE Advanced Chemistry Preparation
Top Books for JEE Advanced Mathematics Preparation
You need to take multiple JEE mock tests as they are the closest you can get to experiencing what a JEE exam feels like. Like any other competitive field, sufficient practice is the key to cracking the JEE exam. When you practice more, you get better at handling things like exam pressure, managing your time, prioritizing questions, and revising answers.
Mock tests help you prepare for JEE Advanced in a competitive way. Make sure that you go through as many mock tests, JEE Advanced previous year question papers, and sample papers as possible to leave no stone unturned in your exam preparation. When you sit for the actual JEE exam, you will be confident and able to tap into your strengths to perform your best.
Once the exam has been conducted all over India, the answer scripts are evaluated by the examination officials based on standard protocols. Students will be able to check the JEE Advanced 2023 results on the JEE’s official website. A JEE Advanced merit list is created based on these results. Your All India Rank (AIR), based on this list, will decide which college you will get admission to.

This score is specified by the NTA + JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) and announced on the official JEE Advanced website. The JEE Advanced cut-off scores are released alongside the JEE Advanced results every year. Cut-offs differ from category to category. The merit list for counselling and admission procedure is based on this score.
The factors that decide the JEE Advanced cut-off score for a particular year are:
All sets of JEE Advanced question papers are not the same. JEE Advanced question papers are coded, and once the exam is over, the examination conducting authority releases the answer keys to all the sets of question papers.
