NIELIT Kohima Admission Process 2027
B.Tech admission runs through JoSAA, as per the 2026-27 process. The university holds its own entrance test for every other programme and for any B.Tech seats left after JoSAA. In the 2026-27 cycle, applications closed on April 26, 2026 for BCA and on May 31, 2026 for the other programmes. The 2027-28 window is likely to follow a similar timeline, based on last year’s schedule.

- Accept the allotted seat and complete document verification.

Fee Structure 2026-27
Fees are common to all NDU campuses, as per the Office Memorandum on fee structure for 2026-27. The Semester I total includes a one-time admission fee of Rs 5,000 and a security deposit of Rs 5,000.

Each semester adds an exam fee of Rs 2,500, and every odd semester adds an academic fee of Rs 5,000. Tuition is paid in two equal instalments: the first on or before reporting, the second one month before the mid-term exam. A late payment costs Rs 1,000 or Rs 2,000.
Over eight semesters, a B.Tech student pays Rs 4,50,000 (Rs 67,500 + 3 x Rs 57,500 + 4 x Rs 52,500). Hostel and mess are extra. Each campus sets its own hostel and mess charges, and has not published its rates online.
