Courses, Seats and Eligibility
In 2026-27, B.Tech CSE, B.Pharm and the B.Tech-M.Tech dual degree in AI and ML had 60 seats each. BS-MS was counted differently: each subject under it had 15 seats of its own.

B.Tech Eligibility
You need 50% in Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics, plus one more subject such as Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science. Reserved categories get 5% relaxation. On the CUET UG form, choose Mathematics, Physics and one optional subject.
B.Pharm Eligibility
This one has more conditions. Class 12 must include English along with PCM or PCB. General, EWS and OBC candidates need 50%; SC, ST and PwD candidates need 45%. There’s an age rule too: you must be at least 17 on December 31 of your admission year. For CUET UG, take Physics and Chemistry, then either Biology or Mathematics.
BS-MS Eligibility
The baseline is 50% with PCM. Chemistry also accepts PCB. Biological Sciences is closed to anyone without Biology.
Central University of Punjab Fee Structure 2026-27
Fees are charged per semester. B.Pharm is the priciest because a Rs 20,000 lab fee is added to its Rs 40,000 tuition every semester.

The full-programme figures are just the prospectus semester fees totalled. B.Tech CSE and B.Pharm are self-financed, so both rise 5% every year after the first. The prospectus lists only eight semesters for the AI-ML dual degree.
Hostel Fees
Mess is billed separately. Don’t count it inside the hostel fee.

That puts first-year hostel cost for a general-category student at Rs 24,200. Of this, Rs 6,000 is a refundable hostel and mess security.
Admission Process
No 2027 dates are out yet. Counselling opened in July last year, so July 2027 is the likely window.
- Take CUET UG with the subjects your programme asks for. The 2026 exam ran May 11 to 31, plus June 6-7.
- Register on SAMARTH and lock your choices. In 2026, this ran July 10 to 17 (BS-MS: till July 11).
- Check for the provisional selection list. The first 2026 list came out on July 21 (BS-MS: July 17).
- Pay the admission fee online by the date on the list. Miss it and the seat goes.
- Attend document verification. It was held on August 3 in 2026.
- If you’re coming in through JEE Main, register on JoSAA-CSAB as well. The 50% quota is filled only through it.
