    jee main exam
The JEE 2022, also known as the Joint Entrance Examination (Main), is a B.Tech admission examination for 31 NITs, 19 GFTIs and 25 IIITs. It is an eligibility entrance examination for the prestigious IIT colleges via JEE Advanced 2022. The JEE Main 2022 Paper 1 is affirmed for enrollment to B.E./B. Tech programmes and Paper 2 is conducted individually for enrollment in B.Arch and B.Planning courses. This year, the National Testing Agency will be conducting the JEE Main 2022 examinations in two sessions, in June and July. In contrast to last year’s four attempts, JEE Main 2022 applicants will only have two chances to pass the examinations successfully.

JEE Main 2022 will be held by the NTA in two sessions: Session 1 in June and session 2 in July. The JEE Main 2022 session 1 will take place from June 20 to June 29, 2022, while JEE Main 2022 session 2 will start from July 21 to July 30, 2022.

After wrapping up the JEE Main 2022 session 1 exams, students can either apply for the session 2 examination, start their preparation for other entrance examinations, or can plan out different career options for themselves. This article will discuss how students can take further steps after concluding their JEE Main 2022 session 1 examinations!

JEE Main 2022 Session 1 Concluded, What’s Next

The first question that will arise following the JEE Main 2022 session 1 examination in students’ minds will be, “What to do after JEE Main 2022 session 1 examination?” What shall various options be available after passing the examination? What should I do if I get low grades? What happens next if I get good grades? and so on. Many questions are cooked up in the tiny brains of applicants who have a lot at stake.

In several cases, more than two years, the final result of a year’s worth of hard work and dedication determines whether admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs are conceivable or not and whether students qualify for the JEE Advanced 2022 examinations. Here are the various alternatives for students concluding the JEE Main 2022 session 1 examinations. The options for students who did well and those who did not do well may differ, but there will be good alternatives. Examine the various options that emerge in response to the question, “What next after JEE Main 2022 session 1 examination?”

Check the JEE Main 2022 Session 1 Answer Key

Following the JEE 2022 session 1 examination, the NTA will officially release the JEE Main 2022 answer key online. Students will also access the answer keys that different coaching institutes have posted. Students can use the JEE Main 2022 session 1 answer key to determine their expected score. The answer key comprises all the right answers to the questions asked in JEE Main 2022 session 1 examinations, and students will be able to correlate their answers to those given there. Students can evaluate the total marks obtained after accessing the answer key using the official criteria for the JEE Main 2022 session 1 examination.

Along with JEE 2022 session 1 answer key, students can also use the JEE Main Rank Predictor to calculate their likely score and rank. Knowing the rank will assure students whether or not they are competent for the JEE Main 2022 examinations. It will also assist students in taking further decisions regarding admissions to engineering institutes.

    Start Preparation for JEE Advanced

If a student is holding one of the positions in the top 2,50,000 applicants in JEE Main 2022 examinations, they are eligible for JEE Advanced 2022 examinations. The JEE Advanced 2022 exams will be held for admittance to the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IITs). Admissions to the partnering IITs are limited to approximately 10,988 seats. The registration process for JEE Advanced 2022 shall begin online. Some various top institutes and universities take admission on merit based on JEE Advanced 2022 score cards; some of them are the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, Indian Institutes of Science Education & Research (IISERs), and Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram. Check out the JEE Advanced 2022 – Dates, Eligibility Criteria, Application, Admit Card, Syllabus & Preparation Tips here.

    Did you Know?

    • The JEE Main 2022 Session 1 scores will determine students’ All India Rank (AIR) for B.Tech/B.Arch admission in Indian colleges and universities.
    • There is no minimum JEE 2022 score or cut-off for admission to NITs or IIITs, but students must meet the minimum eligibility percentile for JEE Advanced 2022 and B.Tech admission to IITs.
    • The cut off for JEE Main 2022 may be high or low depending on the total number of applicants/students who attempt the exam, the difficulty in the examination, availability of seats, and other factors.
    • Last year (in 2020), the unreserved category’s JEE Main Eligible Percentile fell to 87.899 from 90.37.

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Counselling

Students don’t need to be baffled if they do not make the JEE Advanced 2022 admission cut-off. Students can get admission to sound engineering institutes based on their performance in JEE Main 2022 session 1. With the effective JoSAA counselling, students will be assigned seats at NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will undertake the admission process. The seats will depend on the student’s All India Rank (AIR) and their college or course preferences. If students are concerned with their performance in the JEE Main 2022 session 1 examinations, they can retake the exam by enrolling in the JEE Main 2022 session 2 examinations.

    Did you Know?

Last year, JoSAA offered counselling for 50,822 seats at 110 institutes that accept JEE Main results. There were 23 IITs, IIEST Shibpur, 31 NITs, 26 IIITs, and 29 Other-GFTIs. Students can view the availability of seats by category using the previous year’s JoSAA seat matrix.

Apply for JEE Main 2022 Session 2

The registration process for JEE Main 2022 session 2 has begun. Students who are willing to give a second attempt or are unsure about their performance in session 1 JEE 2022 examinations can apply for the JEE Main 2022 session 2 examinations.

The NTA will hold the JEE Main 2022 session 2 on July 21-30, 2022. The testing agency has started the registration process for the JEE Main 2022 session 2 examination from June 1, 2022, onwards. The deadline for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE 2022) registration is June 30, 2022, till 9 p.m. Interested and qualified students can apply online at the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

According to the official statement, students who applied and paid for JEE Main 2022 session 1 and want to attempt session 2 must log in using their previous application id and password as given in session 1. Session 1 students need only select the paper, examination medium, and preferred cities for the JEE Main 2022 session 2 examination and pay the examination fees. Meanwhile, students who did not apply previously must start applying according to the JEE 2022 schedule.

How To Apply For JEE Main Session 2: Steps

Apply in other important Engineering Entrance Exams

Besides NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and IITs are several other leading engineering entrance options. These engineering entrance exams at the private and state levels can also get students into esteemed institutes. By taking other engineering entrance examinations, students will be able to provide themselves with a broader variety of possibilities. These exams will also allow students to stay near their home town and promote a good overall education.

Prepare for State Engineering Entrance Examinations

If students want to study close to their hometown, they can always apply and pursue a state engineering entrance examination. These exams provide admission to the prime government universities and prioritise students who match the place of residence requirements. Some state colleges and universities also offer enrollment through JEE Main 2022 results. These states use All India Ranks (AIR) to allot seats and easily conduct counselling based on the state authorities’ announced eligibility criteria.

    Did you Know?

States that offer partial admissions via JEE Main 2022 session 1 scores are:

    • Maharashtra: The state of Maharashtra reserves 15% of the total seats at self-financed/private engineering colleges through JEE Main 2022 scores.
    • Rajasthan: The state provides 15% of total seats at private engineering universities and 15% of total seats across self-financed government-aided universities to students from other states based on their JEE Main 2022 score or Class 12 results.
    • West Bengal: The state reserves 10% of seats at all private engineering universities through JEE Main 2022 scores.
    • Himachal Pradesh: The state offers the first 50% of total seats across all academic institutions based on JEE Main 2022 merit/rank of students.

    Conclusion

After completing the JEE Main 2022 session 1 examinations, the most anticipated event for engineering students will be the JEE Main 2022 result. With the announcement of the results on September 11, students will now be looking forward to the next step, consultation and admission.

After the JEE Main 2022 session 1 completion, students look for different things. Some students plan for JEE Advanced if they are among the 2,50,000 students who scored similar or higher marks than the JEE Main 2022 cut-off. At the same time, some apply for admission through JoSAA or the state. Students must always seek seniors’ advice or consult their subject teachers to ensure a wise judgement to make the best decision!
