About IIIT Nagpur

Indian Institute of Information Technology Nagpur, better known as IIIT Nagpur or IIITN, is an Institute of National Importance established in 2016 under the Public-Private Partnership model. The institute was set up by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, with support from the Government of Maharashtra and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Mumbai as its industry partner.

IIIT Nagpur started academic operations in the 2016-17 session and received Institute of National Importance status under the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (Public-Private Partnership) Act, 2017.
