    The announcement of the dates of Class 10th Term-2 Exams by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) entails that the exams will begin on 26th April 2022. Notably, CBSE Class 10 Term-2 Board Exam 2022 would only cover 50% of the syllabus. The exams would be organised in a subjective answer-type pattern. After this sudden transition from the objective type form to the subjective type form, the students may find concept-based subjects like Science to be a bit difficult.     • The CBSE Class X Term-2 exams will start on 26 April 2022, but the exam will initiate at 10:30 am. The board exam will not be held in two shifts.
    • The schools were closed for a long period due to the pandemic. So, the CBSE board has provided adequate gaps between the exams of almost all the subjects.

    The entire syllabus of Class 10th is divided into two halves for Term-1 and Term-2 examinations. The syllabus apportioned for Class 10th Term-2 exam 2022 is as follows:

    • Chapter IV: Carbon and its compounds

    CBSE Class 10th Science Term-2 Exam 2022 Paper Pattern

    The paper pattern of the CBSE Class 10th Science Term-2 Exam will be dissimilar to that of the previous years. The duration of the exam will be two hours. The question paper will include only 15 questions. There will be very short, short, and long answer-type formats. The blueprint of the number of questions with their weightage is as follows: 

    • Firstly, there will be 7 very short answer-type questions in Section A. Each question will be 2 marks.
    • Next, Section B will include 6 short answer-type questions. Here, each question will carry 3 marks.
    • Lastly, Section C will include 2 case-based questions; each question will carry 4 marks. Such questions will be based on the case studies given.

    3. Mention the name, symbol, and electronic configuration of an element having the atomic number 11. Also, write the group and period number of this element.
    4. (a) Mendeleev, Newland, and Dobereiner offered their contribution to building the Modern Periodic table. 

             (b) State one merit and one demerit of their contribution.

    1. Mention the Modern Periodic law.
    2. Explain tissue culture?
    3. Represent the longitudinal section of a flower via a well-labeled diagram.
    4. Distinguished between homologous and analogous organs, with examples.
    5. Which is the superior way to connect the lights and other appliances in household wiring, and why?
    6. Find a relationship between P, I, and V.
    7. Describe the three methods to create a magnetic field.
