The NEET exam is one of the most competitive exams conducted in our nation. Each year, lakhs of students appear for it, but unfortunately, only a few can crack the exam. From that, we can understand how hard the exam is. The students who fail to pass this exam either need to retake it by spending one more year on preparing or just get admitted to any of the average-level medical colleges by spending hefty amounts of money.

To avoid such scenarios, it is essential to have a scheduled timetable because it can save hours wasted on thinking about what to study after completing each topic. It is estimated that there are around 15 thousand concepts incorporated in about 100 chapters. So, it is impossible to pass this exam with flying colours without the right strategies.

This article will discuss preparing well for the NEET exam by creating a detailed timetable.

Steps to Create a NEET 2023 Study Plan

After understanding the syllabus, the next step is to create a timetable containing the daily schedule of what needs to be done. This study plan has to be realistic and doable. Let us see the steps involved in creating it:

    1. The students should create the study plan themselves because no one knows a student better than himself. They should do their research and make modifications based on their convenience.
    2. While preparing the plan, the student should keep their school and NEET coaching centre hours in their minds ensuring they do not collide.
    3. It is essential to have breaks in-between studies. Therefore, the students should include an essential amount of breaks during their studies. It is impossible to study everything at one stretch because the students will lose productivity if they do so.
    4. Keeping all that in mind, the students should divide the syllabus into parts, noting down the topics one by one based either on the difficulty level or the connectivity level to the other topics. The students will find it easy to study in that way.
    5. Last but not the least, the students should allocate some separate time for revising. Revising the concepts during the last few days before the examination will help them acquire the best possible marks.

    Revision Plan

Revision is the last phase in the preparation period. The students should have a solid revision plan if they want to achieve good scores in their NEET exams. So, the students should not take it lightly. Revision is usually done one or two months before the examination. The following is a tabulation model for a complete revision strategy:

    • Give yourself enough breaks in between your study. Breaks are essential and help you be productive.
    • Do yoga and meditation each for at least 20 minutes a day. It will help you improve focus and concentration. Moreover, yoga is greatly useful in keeping you calm and collected during the preparation phase.
    • Talk to a friend or a family member you trust whenever you have trouble with anything. Mental health is very important.
    • Exercise every day to keep yourself fit. Both mental and physical health plays a crucial role in every person’s life.
    • Do not sleep late or oversleep.

    Conclusion

Having a preparation strategy and a study plan will greatly help the aspirants obtain maximum marks in the NEET 2023 exam. The main purpose of this article is to provide the students with an overall idea about the exam and how they can prepare for it.

However, not all students will be comfortable with the same schedule. In such cases, they should customise their study plan or make changes to the provided one. Therefore, students are the ones to decide what and how they want to study. They can use this article as a reference and create their plan based on convenience.
