CBSE Class 10 Term 2 Board Exams are about to start, students must be done with their board exam preparation. This is the time you should invest in revision and practicing CBSE Class 10 Term 2 Sample Papers as you will get to test your preparation, and knowledge and will also get an idea about your speed.

The biggest mistake students usually make while preparing for board exams is that they’re so busy with the preparation till the last minute that they actually forget how they will attempt the actual board exam question paper. In the end, they end up making the silliest mistakes and losing marks. This is why you should pay utmost attention while attempting the Class 10 Term 2 question paper so that you can score well in the board examinations. To help you with the same, we got in touch with some of our Class 10 Board Exam Toppers and came up with 7 effective tips to attempt Class 10 Term 2 Board Exams:

    1. Read Board Exam Question Paper Carefully

Many times students are so nervous about not losing out on time that they don’t utilize the time given for reading question papers fully. When you’re attempting a board exam paper, the first thing you should prioritize is reading the paper well, understanding every question, and planning your answers accordingly. Sometimes students end up writing too much for questions that do not require lengthy answers and carry low marks. This is why you should pay attention to questions and answer them logically.

    2. Prioritise Your Answers Carefully

Usually, when students are solving board exam questions they usually pick the most difficult questions to answer first and short answer questions last. Some students also pay no to zero attention to the order of questions and solve them as they come. This sometimes takes a lot of their time as they get stuck between answers because of this they end up leaving a few questions. The first approach we suggest would be to either attempt all the easy questions first or attempt those you are 100 percent confident about. This will ensure that you are not wasting too much time on a single question, you will also be able to complete the question paper on time.

    3. Don’t Exceed The Word Word Limit

Extra word count does not guarantee extra marks, especially when it comes to language exams like English or Hindi. Students should not get carried away writing the answers for questions that come with a word limit, stick to the word count as there’s a reason why these questions come with a word limit. This will only make you lose time, which you can utilize for other questions. Also, don’t use short forms or slang words as spoken English is entirely different from written English. If you make this mistake, it will count as a spelling mistake, leading to penalization.

    4. Pay Attention To The Presentation

Remember your parents and teachers always told you to improve your writing? Guess they were not wrong because good handwriting makes your answers easy to read and understand. So, when an examiner will be reviewing your answer sheets he/she won’t need to play guess the word game. Sometimes students are in such a hurry that they write so fast, making their handwriting difficult to understand. You should also focus on underlining important headlines, and definitions, and draw adequate diagrams to support your answers.

    5. Revise Your Answers Submitting Your Answer Sheets

After you’re done with all the answers, we suggest you should then go through your answers before submitting your answer sheet. This will ensure that you have not missed out on any of the questions, even if you made a few mistakes you will have the time to make corrections. Apart from this keep an eye on your watch after completing each section of the question paper to ensure that you are not wasting too much time on a particular question or section.
