The West Bengal Madhyamik Exams 2024 were conducted from February 2 to 12, 2024.

- The WBBSE announced the Madhyamik Result 2024 via a Press Conference, revealing that this year, more female students appeared for the WBBSE Exam 2024 than male candidates. The Board also disclosed the overall pass percentage, toppers, and other relevant statistics. The Madhyamik Result Link 2024 became active by 9:45 AM.
- In the recent exam session, a total of 923,636 candidates, including both internal and external candidates, enrolled for the examination. Out of these, 912,598 candidates appeared for the test, indicating a commendable turnout. Among the test-takers, 403,900 were male, while the number of female candidates surpassed 5 lakh, showcasing a substantial 25.95% more female participation compared to their male counterparts, signifying a positive trend towards gender inclusivity in education.
- The overall pass percentage this year is 86.31%. Of the total 9,12,598 students who appeared for the exams, which included 4,03,900 boys and 5,08,698 girls, as many as 7,64,252 students passed.
- The district with the highest pass percentage is Kalimpong with 96.26%.
- The top-performing districts in the WBBSE Madhyamik Exam 2024 exhibited impressive pass rates, with Kalimpong leading the list at 96.26%, followed closely by East Medinipur at 95.41%. Kolkata and West Medinipur also demonstrated strong performances, with pass rates of 91.62% and 91.41%, respectively.
- The pass percentage this year has shown improvement compared to last year’s 86.15%.
