When it comes to preparing for NEET Physics, students usually find it quite challenging as it constitutes a wide variety of theoretical concepts and a vast array of numerical problems associated with each concept. The NEET Physics 2019 analysis shows that most of the questions were based on numerical problems involving extensive calculations. The Physics section was not only tougher than the other sections but also comparatively lengthier.

EXAM PATTERN
- The NEET (UG) 2020 will consist of a total of 180 Multiple Choice Questions with four options and single correct answer and will be of 720 marks. In Physics section, 45 questions will be asked from Class XI & XII NCERT Syllabus (29 Chapters) excluding the chapter, ‘Communication System’.
- Each question will carry 04 (four) marks. For each correct answer/best option, candidate will get 04 (four) marks. For each incorrect answer, 01(one) mark will be deducted from the total score. To answer a question, the candidate will have to find, for each question, the correct answer, / best option.
IMPORTANT BOOKS
The most recommended book other than the NCERT textbook is Concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma Vol. I & II. The NCERT textbook is a must for Modern Physics particularly Semiconductors. Students should thoroughly go through the NCERT textbook and solve all the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Very Short Answer Type Questions (VSAQs) of NCERT Exemplar of Class XI & XII.
