Why Copper Cannot Displace Zinc From its Salt Solution?

?

Give a reason for the following: Copper cannot displace zinc from its salt solution.

In an aqueous solution, a metal can displace a less reactive metal from its salt.

Compared to copper, zinc is more reactive.

As a result, copper is unable to remove zinc from its salt solution.

The reaction can be represented as, Cu  +  ZnSO      → No reaction

4(aq)

In a displacement reaction, a more reactive element displaces a less reactive element.
