Deforestation refers to the large-scale removal of trees from forest regions to support human activities, resulting in biodiversity loss. Let us see the effects one by one.

It destroys the ecological balance and the natural habitats of wild animals, which moves many animal species to the edge of extinction.

Effects on Wild Animals:

It leads to soil erosion, lower crop production and affects the biological cycles. It also causes an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide leading to global warming.

Effects on the Environment:

The supply of food to the rural people will get reduced as they are dependent on forests for food. Also, animals may enter the village due to the loss of their natural habitats.

Effects on Rural Areas:

Global warming, and climate change due to which draught and floods are caused in the cities. The source of wood for the next generation also gets reduced.

Effects on Urban Areas:

Soil loses fertility and there is an increase in natural disasters like floods and droughts.

Effect on Earth:

Since wild animals have lost their natural habitats, many endemic plants are now endangered. The world is also losing its beautiful floristic diversity.

Effect on the Next Generation:
