CBSE 2023 Biology:  Why Is Anemia Bad for Us?

By Team Aakash Byju's | 7th December 2022

Anemia is the most prevalent blood-related disorder, characterised by unusually low levels of red blood cells.

The haemoglobin present in red blood cells helps in the transport of oxygen throughout the body.

Reduced red blood cells result in less oxygen transfer to our tissues, resulting in fatigue and weakness.

Haemoglobin contains iron, and a decrease in red blood cells leads to iron deficiency.

If Anemia is left untreated, it may result in various health problems, including severe fatigue and heart-related diseases caused by a lack of oxygen in the blood.
