It\u2019s March and the board exams are in full swing. The atmosphere is full of excessive studying, worrying and fear. You\u2019ve spent months, weeks, days, hours and minutes studying every tiny detail of the subjects. There\u2019s no way you\u2019ll be able to get a good night\u2019s sleep and you\u2019ll end up in the examination hall completely exhausted. There are chances that you make mistakes on the day of the exam which can be easily avoided. Read here common mistakes made by most of the students.<\/p>\n

    1. Not sleeping enough: <\/b> This is the biggest mistake that every student makes. You should aim for a good 7 hours sleep before the exam so that you are fully charged on the day of the exam.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. Not reading the question paper thoroughly before starting to write: <\/b> In most of the exams, question papers are distributed 10-15 minutes before the exam begins. You should utilize this time for reading not only the question paper but also the instructions given on the front page. This would help you decide which questions to attempt first and which of them carry high weightage.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            1. Poor time management : <\/b>The aim should be to answer easy questions first, since by answering difficult questions and getting stuck, you might lose your confidence. So, it\u2019s better you allocate your time accordingly and attempt questions that you are sure about first.

              \u2022 The weightage in terms of marks<\/p>\n

                1. Attempting the question without proper planning :<\/b>It\u2019s very common that students start writing the answer without proper planning. You may know the answer, but it is always considered wise to think once how you are going to write the answer. Mentally jot down the points you consider to be important that will cover the answer and then start writing. In this way you can prevent yourself from unaffordable situations, like missing on important points for the answer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Forgetting to attempt unanswered question: <\/b>While allocating your time to different types of questions, there are chances that you might miss attempting the questions that you leave in the first round. Such situation can be avoided if you highlight the question just after you have attempted that question. And later, you can attempt the questions which are not marked.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
