Whenever someone talks about some of the toughest competitive exams like NEET or JEE<\/a>, we immediately imagine students studying all day long without having any kind of fun. There are some exact ideas attached to these competitive exams which might have been true a few years back, but with a few changes, it is time to break these myths and misconceptions about competitive exams.<\/p>\n

Some of the top myths about competitive exams are:<\/h2>\n

Myth 1: Cracking Engineering or Medical entrance exam is like a rocket science<\/strong><\/p>\n

Most people believe that only toppers can crack competitive exams like JEE<\/a> or NEET<\/a>. This is one of the greatest myths. Your dedication and hard work are all that really matters when preparing for such exams. A student whose performance is average can also crack these exams if they stay motivated.<\/p>\n

Myth 2: Coaching Institutes can help crack the exam<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students pay lakhs on expensive coaching institutes due to this myth. While going to a good coaching institute is beneficial, self-study also matters a lot. Even if the coaching institute is good enough still you will have to take out time to study and work hard on your preparation then nothing can stop you from cracking competitive exams.<\/p>\n

Myth 3: Studying from as many books as possible increases your chances of clearing the exam<\/strong><\/p>\n

Different books by different authors will only confuse you. You should study from some of the main books like NCERT and use just one or two books for reference. You should focus more on solving sample papers and mock tests as they give you a better understanding of the exam.<\/p>\n

Myth 4: More study hours means better performance<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every student has different ways to study and prepare. There are some students who can study for 2-3 hours and clear the exam while there are some who might study all day for the same. The number of hours you study do not count when you are preparing for the competitive exams. As long as you stay 100% focused on your study, cracking competitive exams won\u2019t require extensive study schedules.<\/p>\n
