\nGetting admission to any of the prestigious IITs is the dream of all engineering aspirants. 1. Refrain from Mugging Up the Concepts<\/h3>\n

Many students commit this cardinal sin while preparing for IIT JEE. If you are finding any concept hard to understand, take help from the faculty at the engineering coaching<\/a>, <\/strong>strengthen your basics and aim at understanding it clearly. Yes, mugging up sure seems like the most obvious choice. Unfortunately, it will not help in the long run.<\/p>\n

2. Don\u2019t Take Class XI Syllabus Lightly<\/h3>\n

Since the syllabus of IIT JEE is similar to class 11th<\/sup>, taking it lightly and skipping chapters may cost you big. Remember, a majority of questions asked are from the class 11th<\/sup> syllabus, especially from the later half of the Class 11th<\/sup> textbook. Referring to too many books will only add to the confusion and make it difficult for you to complete the syllabus on time. 4. Never Compare Your Progress<\/h3>\n

Engineering aspirants often have a habit of comparing their progress with others. You should understand that everyone has a different learning pace and they cannot be on an equal level when it comes to preparing for competitive exams. 7. Never Ignore Your Health<\/h3>\n

During the preparation phase, don\u2019t burden yourself so much with studies that the body starts taking a toll on your health. Improper meal patterns might make you fall sick and you may end up losing valuable time that could have been utilized for preparing better. 8. Don\u2019t Be Overconfident<\/h3>\n

There is a thin line that divides confidence and overconfidence. You should revise the chapters and concepts from time to time and never underestimate your competition. Even if you have a 100% strike rate in tests and mock exams, don\u2019t become overconfident. 9. Don\u2019t Keep Revision for the Last Moment<\/h3>\n

Many students have a habit of first finishing the entire syllabus and then starting with the revision. Remember, revision should neither be the last day hustle nor kept for the last month. Revising every day gives you a strong hold on the concepts and helps you learn and remember better.<\/p>\n

10. Don\u2019t Give up Before You Try<\/h3>\n

Last but not the least, many students give up only after finding that the syllabus is vast and tough.
