<\/a>Himanshu Sharma, the All India Rank (AIR) 3 in NEET 2018, believes that working towards your dream with dedication is a definite path to success. According to Himanshu, \u201dMedicine is a noble profession\u201d, and it was his keen desire to be able to pursue the profession and become a doctor which led him to move from Haryana to Delhi for further studies. Following his stupendous results in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2018, his aim is to become a cardiologist or a neurologist for a Government hospital so as to do justice to the pledge he had previously taken to provide free health care for the less fortunate.<\/p>\n

In this exclusive interview with Aakash Institute, Himanshu shares details about her preparation strategy, the driving force behind her dream and other essential aspects which helped her ace the exam.<\/p>\n

Aakash Institute:<\/strong> Congratulations Himanshu on being AIR 3 in NEET-2018. How are you feeling after this achievement?<\/p>\n

Himanshu: <\/strong>It\u2019s like a dream coming true. I am feeling very happy that my 2-year hard work paid off. I am feeling delighted to see my parents, teachers, and friends happy.<\/p>\n

Aakash Institute:<\/strong> Tell us a little about your family and how they supported you in this success?<\/p>\n

Himanshu: <\/strong>My father\u2019s name is Bijender Kumar. He is a Science teacher in a Government School in Rohtak district. He always motivated me to do my best and helped me in building my early foundation. My mother\u2019s name is Sushila Rani. She is a Hindi lecturer in Government School in Panipat district. She worked tirelessly day and night to make me achieve this success.<\/p>\n

Aakash Institute: <\/strong>What motivated you to pursue Medicine as your career?<\/p>\n

Himanshu: <\/strong>My Grandfather was a doctor in Army. He inspired me to become a doctor from an early age. He used to talk to me in English. When I visited doctors, I fell in love with the profession as it is the noblest profession in the present life.<\/p>\n

Aakash Institute:<\/strong> Tell us about your preparation routine for NEET-18? How much time did you put for coaching vis a vis self-study?<\/p>\n

Himanshu: <\/strong>I had a strong desire to become a doctor which acted as a stimulant to study late nights with full dedication and concentration. I devoted 7-8 hours for self-study in weekdays and joined coaching at Aakash Institute during the weekends. Most of the time during the weekends I used to attend coaching from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM including the top 50 batch.<\/p>\n

Aakash Institute: <\/strong>Your schedule would have been quite hectic during preparations. What did you do to keep yourself refreshed?<\/p>\n

Himanshu: <\/strong>I took a break after every 3-4 hours of my preparation to relax my mind so that I can get maximum output out of my efforts. I used to watch the news on the mobile phone, watched cricket match to relax my mind.<\/p>\n

Aakash Institute:<\/strong> Among all the three subjects, which was the easiest and toughest subject for you?<\/p>\n

Himanshu: <\/strong>Among all the three subjects, I found Chemistry the easiest and Physics the toughest subject. I analyzed my shortcoming in Physics and practiced many questions to gain an edge over my competitors by using engineering books which helped me to complete Physics in NEET-2018 in time with full confidence.<\/p>\n

Aakash Institute: <\/strong>Where do you see yourself in the next five years down the line in the medical career?<\/p>\n

Himanshu: <\/strong>I would be a better doctor or an IAS in future to take my career forward. If I would continue in the medical field then I would do specialization in Cardiology or Neurosurgery.<\/p>\n

Aakash Institute: <\/strong>What suggestions would you like to share with the future NEET Aspirants?<\/p>\n

Himanshu: <\/strong>I just want to tell them not to take the stress and begin your preparation from the very first day with full dedication and concentration to complete your syllabus in time and revise the syllabus time to time to relieve stress during the exam.<\/p>\n

Aakash Institute:<\/strong> Do you think coaching helped you in preparing for NEET- 2018 exam?<\/p>\n

Himanshu: <\/strong>Yes, I think coaching is necessary as it provides you with better guidance with proper planning. They provide you with Mock Tests which provide similar pattern like the real exam. They provide you the short tricks for proper time management and proper books and modules to strengthen your concepts.<\/p>\n

Aakash Institute:<\/strong> Other fellow aspirants also knew what books and syllabus points were to be prepared? But what according to you ensured success for you?<\/p>\n

Himanshu:<\/strong> The planning which I made for preparation helped me a lot to relieve stress and complete my syllabus in time. I revised my syllabus from time to time. I made self-notes from books to understand them easily. I analyzed my mistakes regularly and worked on them in order to achieve success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
