However, not many students are able to take hold of this law and end up getting confused and stressed out when the exams are just around the corner. So, read below and practice well in your IIT JEE test series.<\/p>\n<h2>Laws of motion<\/h2>\n<h3>Newton\u2019s Fist Law of Motion<\/h3>\n<p><strong>\u201cEvery object persists in its state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed<\/strong><strong> upon it.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a perfect example that tells us about the first law of motion which is also known as the law of inertia. Here all we mean to say is if any object, be it a ball or even a feather, will do what it is doing unless some external force interrupts it. Suppose you are an object, until and unless someone pushes you will not be able to move. This explains the law of inertia.<\/p>\n<h3>Newton\u2019s Second Law of Motion<\/h3>\n<p><strong>\u201cForce is equal to the change in momentum (mV) per change in time. For a constant mass, force equals mass times acceleration.<\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Force is all about a push or pull action that can change the speed of an object. According to the second law of motion, force that you need to exert to bring a change in the body is equal to the product of its mass and acceleration. It also shows that if you put some force on different objects, there will be different motions.<\/p>\n<h3>Newton\u2019s Third Law of Motion<\/h3>\n<p><strong>\u201cFor Every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By this statement we mean to say that when two bodies interact, they apply forces that are equal in magnitude but are opposite in the direction. Suppose you sit on a chair, the chair also exerts the same amount of force that your body exerts on it.
