The experienced faculty at Aakash sat down and analyzed the paper. We also spoke to students about their reactions and judgment. Here is the complete 2018 NEET Paper Analysis.

This year has seen a sharp increase in the number of students attempting NEET. Approximately 13.4 lakh students appeared for this exam in comparison to the 11.4 lakh last year. This drastic increase is primarily due to the increase in the number of states opting for NEET Scores over state-level Common Entrance Tests for admissions in the health sciences. This also led to an increase in the number of students clearing class 12 exams and various policies and scholarships provided by the government. In the year 2017, NEET has seen only 7.5 lakh registrations, out of which the total number of seats in MBBS and BDS institutes across the country stands at 60,000.

This exam is considered to be one of the most challenging exams across India. Its score is a qualifying factor for securing admissions in any government medical institute in the country, apart from AIIMS and JIPMER.

NEET 2018 Question Paper Download

PAPER

DOWNLOAD LINK

Set EE

Download Here

Set FF

Download Here

Set PP

Download Here

Set MM

Download Here

Set LL

Download Here

Set GG

Download Here

Set DD

Download Here

Set KK

Download Here

Set HH

Download Here

Set ZZ

Download Here

Set RR

Download Here

Set NN

Download Here

Set WW

Download Here

Set QQ

Download Here

Set CC

Download Here

Set XX

Download Here

Set YY

Download Here

Set BB

Download Here

The NEET Exam was conducted in pen and paper mode. Most of the questions were not time-consuming. They found similarities between the weightage of marks in this paper and the 12th Syllabus.

Physics

This was the toughest section out of the three. However, this section was bit lengthy. There were 24 questions asked from the 12th standard syllabus and 21 questions from the 11th standard syllabus. This section had 2 difficult questions, 9 moderate questions and 34 easy questions. In addition to this, there were many calculation based questions.

This is the breakup of marks between different topics of the Physics section:

Topic

Marks Allotted

Mechanics

60

Electrodynamics

60

Thermodynamics and Kinetic Theory

24

Optics and wave optics

20

Modern Physics and Nuclear Physics

16

This distribution of marks ensured that the overall section was moderately easy.

Chemistry

This section was moderate out of all the three.
