NIELIT Kohima is a constituent campus of NIELIT Deemed to be University under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. For 2026-27 it admitted students to BCA, B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Tech CSE (AI & ML), MCA, M.Tech and PhD. B.Tech seats are filled through JoSAA on JEE Main ranks. B.Tech tuition for 2026-27 is Rs 50,000 per semester.<\/span><\/p>\n

NIELIT Kohima 2027 Highlights<\/b><\/h3>\n

NIELIT Kohima Admission Process 2027<\/b><\/h3>\n

B.Tech admission runs through JoSAA, as per the 2026-27 process. The university holds its own entrance test for every other programme and for any B.Tech seats left after JoSAA. In the 2026-27 cycle, applications closed on April 26, 2026 for BCA and on May 31, 2026 for the other programmes. The 2027-28 window is likely to follow a similar timeline, based on last year\u2019s schedule.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Appear in JEE Main 2027 and get a valid rank.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Register on<\/span> josaa.nic.in<\/span><\/a> and add the Kohima campus B.Tech CSE (AI and ML) to your choices.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Accept the allotted seat and complete document verification.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Pay the first fee instalment on or before reporting to the campus.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. If seats stay vacant after JoSAA, register for the university\u2019s test on the<\/span> NIELIT admissions page<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Fee Structure 2026-27<\/b><\/h3>\n

    Fees are common to all NDU campuses, as per the<\/span> Office Memorandum on fee structure for 2026-27<\/span><\/a>. The Semester I total includes a one-time admission fee of Rs 5,000 and a security deposit of Rs 5,000.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

    Each semester adds an exam fee of Rs 2,500, and every odd semester adds an academic fee of Rs 5,000. Tuition is paid in two equal instalments: the first on or before reporting, the second one month before the mid-term exam. A late payment costs Rs 1,000 or Rs 2,000.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Over eight semesters, a B.Tech student pays Rs 4,50,000 (Rs 67,500 + 3 x Rs 57,500 + 4 x Rs 52,500). Hostel and mess are extra. Each campus sets its own hostel and mess charges, and has not published its rates online.<\/span><\/p>\n
