NEET (UG) 2026 Result Declared!<\/h2>\n

Great news for all medical aspirants \u2014 the National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the NEET (UG) 2026 result today, 16 July 2026<\/strong>. The result has been announced well within time to keep the counselling and medical college admission calendar on track.<\/p>\n

Close to 20 lakh candidates<\/strong> appeared for NEET (UG) 2026 on 21 June 2026, across 5,440 centres in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad<\/strong>. Of these, 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified<\/strong> for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH, and allied programmes.<\/p>\n

Scorecards for all candidates are now live on the official website: neet.nta.nic.in<\/strong><\/p>\n

How to Download Your NEET 2026 Scorecard<\/h2>\n

  1. Go to the official website: neet.nta.nic.in<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Click on the NEET (UG) 2026 Result<\/a> link on the homepage.<\/li>\n
  3. Enter your Application Number<\/strong>, Date of Birth<\/strong>, and the Security Pin<\/strong> displayed on screen.<\/li>\n
  4. Click Submit<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  5. Your scorecard will be displayed \u2014 download the PDF and keep a printout safe for counselling.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Your scorecard will show your subject-wise marks, total score out of 720, percentile score, All India Rank (AIR), category rank, and qualifying status.<\/p>\n

          Category-wise cut-off marks and percentiles have been published simultaneously by NTA. The qualifying percentile continues to be fixed by NEET regulations at 50th percentile for General<\/strong>, 45th for General-PwD<\/strong>, and 40th for SC\/ST\/OBC<\/strong> candidates, with actual cut-off marks varying based on this year’s difficulty level and candidate performance.<\/p>\n

          How Was the Result Declared So Quickly?<\/h2>\n

          NTA re-engineered its process this year, running several stages in parallel rather than one after another, and de-linking the OMR sheet challenge from the answer key release. The full timeline:<\/p>\n

            Tie-Breaking Criteria for All India Rank<\/h2>\n

            Where two or more candidates score the same total marks, NTA applies the following order:<\/p>\n

            1. Higher marks in Biology<\/strong> (Botany + Zoology)<\/li>\n
            2. Higher marks in Chemistry<\/strong><\/li>\n
            3. Higher marks in Physics<\/strong><\/li>\n
            4. Fewer incorrect attempts relative to correct answers in Physics<\/li>\n
            5. If still tied, resolution through a random process overseen by an independent expert committee<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              What’s Next: Counselling Process<\/h2>\n

              NTA’s role ends with declaring the result, issuing the All India Rank, and publishing merit and category lists. Counselling is NOT conducted by NTA.<\/strong><\/p>\n
