What is JEE Advanced?<\/h2>\n

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is the national-level entrance test for admission to India\u2019s premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). For 2026, the responsibility of conducting the examination lies with IIT Roorkee.<\/p>\n

The JEE exam has two stages, JEE Main<\/a> and JEE Advanced. Only candidates who qualify JEE Main 2026 and meet the eligibility criteria<\/a> for JEE Advanced can register for the exam. The eligibility is limited to the top 2,50,000 successful candidates from the B.Tech\/BE paper (Paper I) of JEE (Main) 2026. A candidate will be allowed to take JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.<\/p>\n

JEE Advanced 2026 comprises two compulsory parts, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates appearing for the exam need to attempt both papers to be eligible for the JEE Advanced 2026 merit list. The test will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.<\/p>\n

Actions to Take When the JEE Advanced 2026 Schedule is Out<\/h2>\n

Once the exam schedule is released, it’s time to review your actions and plans. A structured and focused approach can help remain calm, consistent and confident. Here are certain areas to focus on:<\/p>\n

Review the syllabus:<\/strong> While you must already be adhering to the syllabus<\/a>, this time, check with the perspective of strong and weak subjects and topics.
