NIFTEM is a Deemed University located at Sonipat, Haryana and stands for National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management. It is an organization owned by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI) of India. In the year 2021, the Government of India has awarded the status of \u201cInstitute of National Importance\u201d to NIFTEM. As per NIRF 2022, NIFTEM has figured at the rank 127 in the engineering domain. The institute focuses on delivering education and conducting research in Food Technology and Management stream.<\/span><\/p>\n

NIFTEM Sonipat Overview<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Courses offered by NIFTEM include B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D. programmes. It is important to note that admission to all the courses is offered based on the national entrance examination. Since its recognition from the AICTE, the institute has incorporated the JEE Main entrance examination for offering the admission to the NIFTEM BTech course. For the BTech Admissions 2022 only the candidates with the rank in JEE Main score between 25600-57700 are eligible.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, NIFTEM offers the 4-point scale food processing plants that function as Business Incubation Sites for food industry and training facilities. NIFTEM Sonipat Admission Process<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The entrance test score of the candidates is used to select candidates to join NIFTEM Sonipat. An applicant initiates the application process of this college at NIFTEM, through online application form or directly apply a visit to the college. The final choice is dependent on the given eligibility tests and qualifying standards that are mentioned on the different Entrance Exam.<\/span><\/p>\n

The institute accepts cutoff ranks of JEE Main for admissions in BTech programme. JEE Main qualified candidates can do the choice filling and seat locking through the JOAPS portal. Likewise in case of MTech admissions, the entrance examination called GATE has to be cleared to seek admission. Scholarships in merit basis are given to students who are admitted in the basic technology, master of technology or the master of business administration courses.     • Merit Scholarship: The scholarship is given to the first three students on merit basis in B.Tech. and one student on merit basis in each MTech. programmes.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • The NIFTEM Merit scholarship is in major part paid for the second semester The NIFTEM Merit scholarship is mostly paid in the second semester. <\/span><\/li>\n
    • After that, for the next year and subsequent years, only the toppers are given scholarships for the year. This includes a tuition fee drop of ten months and a monthly pay check.<\/span>
