IIHT Salem was started in 1960 and is an Anna University Chennai. The Institute is also approved by AICTE though this abbreviation probably requires no introduction as it is utilized in the title of other institutions such as the AICTE approved Himalayan Institute of Technology and Management. IIHT Salem Admission<\/b><\/h2>\n

For admission in B. Tech programme students have to seek admission through their rank secured in JEE Mains only. For PG Diploma the admission criteria includes Merit with counselling also. The minimum qualifications required in admittance to the courses offered at IIHT differs according to the level and area of specialty.
