The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has announced the \u2018Bochhor Bachao\u2019 (Save-a-Year) exams for Class 10 and 12 students. These exams are expected to be held in the last week of July. Students must fill out the exam forms and submit them to their respective schools between July 8 and 11.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is \u2018Bochhor Bachao\u2019?<\/b><\/h2>\n

The \u2018Bochor Bachao\u2019 scheme, introduced by the Tripura government in 2020, allows students who fail in up to two subjects to secure entry into colleges or the next class, provided they score a minimum of 150 marks. However, they must clear a re-test within 75 days of the results to continue their higher education.<\/span><\/p>\n

TBSE Exam Details and Form Submission<\/b><\/h2>\n

The TBSE has set the dates for form submission. Students must submit their forms to their schools between July 8 and 11. Schools will then have time from July 12 to 15 to submit these forms to the TBSE office. As many as 7,435 Class 10 and 12 students are expected to appear for these exams.<\/span><\/p>\n

Review of Results for TBSE 2024<\/b><\/h2>\n

TBSE president Dr. Dhananjoy Gan Choudhury announced that 2,042 Class 10 students applied for a review of their results. Of these, 747 students had their results changed, with 21 students qualifying and seven placed in the \u2018Bochhor Bachao\u2019 exams. For Class 12, 1,385 students applied for a review, but none passed, and only one was placed in the \u2018Bochhor Bachao\u2019 after review.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tripura Board of Secondary Education Pass Percentages<\/b><\/h2>\n

After the review, 3,199 Class 10 and 4,236 Class 12 students will take the \u2018Bochhor Bachao\u2019 exams. Dr. Dulal Dey, TBSE secretary, noted that the pass percentage for Class 10 is now 87.59%, a slight increase from the initial results announced in May.<\/span><\/p>\n
