Formerly distinct as the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) for Class 10 and the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) for Class 12, the amalgamation into ASSEB signifies a significant structural shift.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The initial proposal for this consolidation was introduced in June 2023, and its formal approval aligns with the government&#8217;s commitment to enhancing the oversight, regulation, and overall quality of school education. This transformative decision was articulated in an official statement released following the cabinet meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Simultaneously, the government has taken strides to streamline the recruitment process for graduate and postgraduate teachers. The Assam Secondary Education (Government Schools) Service (2nd Amendment) Rules, 2023, and the Assam Secondary Education (Provincialised Schools) Service (2nd Amendment) Rules, 2023 have received the green light.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The objective behind these amendments is to optimize the utilization of manpower, fostering effective academic support for students.
