The joint entrance examination for JEE is conducted in 2 forms: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. It is an entrance exam for undergraduate engineering programs like B.Arc, B.E, B. plan, and B.Tech in the nation’s top colleges. Both exams are extremely important for all the students aspiring to be engineers. However, there are many fundamental differences between the two. Eligibility Criteria\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Every student who has secured passing marks in the senior secondary exam from the science stream can appear for JEE Main exam. However, for a student to get admission in NITs, CFTIs, and IITs, they must secure a minimum of 75%.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the other hand, for students to be eligible for JEE Advanced exam, they need to qualify for JEE Main exams and be among the top 20 lakh candidates.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Number Of Attempts And Age Limit<\/span><\/h3>\n

JEE Main exam does not have any limitation on the number of attempts. However, students can sit for the JEE Advanced exam for a minimum of 2 years in a row.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There is no age-based limitation for candidates to appear for the JEE Main exam. On the other hand, for candidates to appear in the JEE Advanced exam, they must be under the age of 25.
