What is National Mathematics Talent Contest?<\/h2>\n

The National Mathematics Talent Contest, commonly known as NMTC, is a popular test in the field of Mathematics. This contest is conducted by the Association of Mathematics Teachers of India (AMTI) and is held at a national level. NMTC is carried out with one sole aim \u2013\u00a0 \u201cto find and encourage students who have the ability for original and creative thinking, preparedness to tackle unknown and non-routine problems having a general mathematical ability suitable to their level.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NMTC has announced that the <\/span>last date for response is August 31st, 2023<\/b>. The exam will be held in two stages and the winners will receive cash rewards and merit certificates.<\/span><\/p>\n

Medium of the Exam<\/h3>\n

The exam will be only in English Medium (for all levels).<\/span><\/p>\n

Exam Fees<\/h3>\n

Rs.150\/- per candidate ( Out of this, Rs.125\/- per candidate should be sent to AMTI, and the Institution retain Rs.25\/- per candidate for all expenses, including the download and printing the question papers from the main supply of the answer sheets and the invigilation charges. No further claim can be made<\/span><\/p>\n

NMTC Exam Pattern<\/h3>\n

Stage 1, or the Preliminary test of NMTC, will mainly consist of objective-type questions and will be a mixture of multiple choices and fill-in-the-blanks formats.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stage 2, or the Final test, will mostly consist of subjective questions where students are expected to write the complete answers for each question.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cash awards to the top 3 winners in each level at the finals (1st position Rs 5000\/-, 2nd Rs 2500\/- and 3rd Rs 1250\/-), Merit certificates for them and others selected at the final level with Rs 500\/- cash award for the latter also will be given based on their revealing a reasonable level of mathematical maturity. Enrichment contact courses are likely to be organized for promising toppers. Prizes and Merit certificates will be distributed to all the prize winners during the AMTI Annual Conference in December 2023.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
