This year, the exam was conducted in nine phases from May to June nationwide. According to the University Grants Commission (UGC), an impressive number of approximately 19.2 lakh candidates appeared for the entrance test, showcasing a remarkable 100% increase compared to last year&#8217;s 9.6 lakh participants. It is noteworthy that the CUET UG exam was introduced for the first time in 2022. In a Twitter post, UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar expressed his delight at the surge in numbers, highlighting that the previous year saw 9.6 lakh students taking the CUET-UG, while this year&#8217;s figures witnessed a significant jump to 19.2 lakhs. He also conveyed his optimistic outlook, expecting these numbers to continue to grow in the years to come.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">In 2022, 9.6 lakh students appeared in CUET-UG.
