The exam has two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Marks for Each<\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">60<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\">\n<h2><\/h2>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">\n<h2><\/h2>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>In each part there were Four sections:<\/p>\n<p>Sec-I (Max. marks-12)<\/p>\n<p>Sec-II (Max. Marks-12)<\/p>\n<p>Sec-III (Max. marks-24)<\/p>\n<p>Sec-IV (Max. marks-12)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sec-I had three questions with four options in which one or more than one option(s) were correct.<\/p>\n<h2>JEE Advanced Paper 1: Marking Scheme in Section 1<\/h2>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\"><strong>Full Marks<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">+4 If only (all) the correct options are chosen<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\"><strong>Partial Marks<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">+3 If all the four options are correct but only three correct options are chosen<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\"><strong>Partial Marks<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">+2 If three or more options are correct but only two correct options are chosen<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\"><strong>Partial Marks<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">+1 If two or more options are correct but only one correct option is chosen<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\"><strong>Zero Marks<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">0 If none of the options are chosen<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\"><strong>Negative Marks<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">-2 In all other cases<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sec-II had four questions with four options in which only ONE option was correct.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Marking scheme in Section II<\/strong><\/h2>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\">Full Marks<\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">+3 If only the correct option is chosen<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\">Zero Marks<\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">0 If none of the options are chosen<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\">Negative Marks<\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">-1 In all other cases<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Sec-III had six questions of Numerical Based (Non-Negative Integer Type)<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Marking Scheme in Section III<\/strong><\/h2>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\">Full Marks<\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">+4 for the correct answer<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\">Zero Marks<\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">0 in all other cases<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Sec-IV had four questions with each question of match list type i.e. Match List-I to List-II. List-I had 4 questions to be matched to List-II which had 5 options. One or more than one options were correct.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Marking Scheme in Section IV<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\">Full Marks<\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">+3 in case all options are correct<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\">Zero Marks<\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">0 if none of the options are chosen<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"451\">Negative Marks<\/td>\n<td width=\"451\">-1 In all other cases<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Students found the overall difficulty level of the JEE Advanced Paper 1 moderate to difficult<\/p>\n<p>Some students found that the Physics section was Easy, Chemistry was Moderate, but Maths was relatively difficult.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chemistry Section<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Chemistry section was seen to be moderate in nature. Chemistry was not balanced as per students. Inorganic Chemistry had a few questions which were directly from NCERT. In Physical Chemistry, questions covered chapters on Chemical Kinetics, Ionic &amp; Chemical Equilibrium, Electrochemistry, and Atomic Structure. Thermodynamics (with more than one question). In Organic Chemistry, questions mostly asked about Amines, Polymers, Biomolecules, Oxygen-containing Compounds, and some named reactions were also asked. Mixed concepts questions were asked. More weightage was given to Organic Chemistry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Physics Section<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>More weightage was given to chapters like Kinematics, Thermodynamics, Modern Physics, Capacitors, Current Electricity, Kinematics, Gravitation, Optics, and Electrostatics. Overall, Physics was Easy as compared to the other two subjects as per students. This was a Balanced Section as per students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mathematics Section<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mathematics was tricky &amp; difficult for students. There were tricky and lengthy questions from Vectors and 3D Geometry. There were questions from Functions, Matrices, Ellipse, Statistics &amp; Probability. Some good questions were asked in chapters on Probability, Complex Numbers, 3-D Geometry, Parabolas.
