The girl, Dhanashree Jagatap, was unable to complete the exam due to a broken wrist during her first attempt.<\/p>\n<p>A vacation bench comprising Justices Manish Pitale and Neela Gokhale considered Jagatap&#8217;s plea, which sought permission to appear for the exam again. According to her, she fell and dislocated her right wrist joint due to overcrowding at the NEET-UG examination center on May 7. Although she was given a writer and brought back to the center, she could not attempt the Physics section of the paper as she did not receive extra time to compensate for the delay caused by her injury.<\/p>\n<p>Jagatap requested the National Testing Agency to allow her to retake the exam, highlighting the separate examination being conducted this year for students from Manipur due to the outbreak of violence in the state. The re-examination for Manipur students is scheduled for June 6 in Bengaluru, Karnataka.<\/p>\n<p>During the court hearing, the Union government expressed its willingness to permit Jagatap to appear for the exam on June 6, on the condition that she would not rely on the marks obtained in the previous attempt. Accepting this condition, the court granted permission for Jagatap to appear for the NEET-UG 2023 examination in Bengaluru, along with the Manipur students.
