The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) will be administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 7, 2023, from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. The exam will be conducted in the pen-and-paper mode and will be available in 13 languages. NEET<\/a> is an entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions. The NEET score will also be applicable for the Military Nursing Scheme (MNS) candidates who want to take admission to the BSc Nursing course at Armed Forces Medical Service Hospitals.<\/span><\/p>\n

NEET 2023 Qualifying Criteria\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

To be eligible for admission to undergraduate courses, candidates appearing for the qualifying exam (class 12) must meet the qualifying pass percentage at the time of the first round of counseling. However, candidates who have completed class 12 from an open school or are private candidates will not be permitted to sit for the NEET exam. Also, candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination in science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology\/Biotechnology and English. Alternatively, they must have passed the BSc examination from an Indian University, provided they have passed the examination in at least two subjects consisting of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)\/Biotechnology, and passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.<\/span><\/p>\n

NEET 2023 Tie- Breaking Criteria\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

In the case of candidates scoring the same marks in NEET UG 2023, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Candidates who score higher marks or percentage in Biology (Botany\/Zoology).<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Candidates who score higher marks in Chemistry.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Candidates who score higher marks in Physics.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Candidates who have fewer incorrect answers than correct answers in all the subjects.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Candidates who have the lowest proportion of incorrect responses to correct responses in Biology (Botany and Zoology).<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Candidates who have the lowest ratio of incorrect answers, in Chemistry, to correct answers.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Candidates who have a lower percentage of attempted incorrect answers in Physics.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Candidate who is older in age.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. NEET application number in ascending order.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note: The above-mentioned tie-breaker criteria are in order of importance, with the first criterion being the most significant and the last one being the least significant.<\/span><\/p>\n
