It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) each year. The exam is held annually in May or June, and the results are declared by the end of June.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NEET is the only entrance exam for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses in India, including MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses. It replaced all other entrance exams previously conducted by different states and colleges. NEET is also mandatory for students who wish to study medicine or dentistry abroad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NEET Eligibility<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provided below are the NEET eligibility conditions. For NEET, a candidate must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be an Indian citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be of 17 years of minimum age at the time of admission or he\/she should be completing the mentioned age on or before December 31 of the same year<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology\/Biotechnology, and English with at least 50% marks (40% for SC\/ST\/OBC candidates)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have studied and passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology\/Biotechnology, and English in Class 12<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NEET Exam Pattern<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NEET consists of 180 multiple-choice questions and the exam duration is three-hours and 20 minutes. The questions are divided into three sections &#8211; Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology). For each correct answer, 4 marks are awarded and for each incorrect answer, one mark is deducted.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NEET Exam Syllabus<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The syllabus for NEET is based on the NCERT curriculum of Class 11 and Class 12 for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
