<\/a>The Federation of Resident Doctors Association has issued a notice on 15 January 2023 requesting the Director General of Health Services to consider the issue of 1000 plus vacant seats in\u00a0NEET SS\u201922 and make suitable provisions for a\u00a0Mop Up Round.<\/p>\n

As per the notice released, FORDA has mentioned that despite the completion of the counselling process, there are still a significant number of seats that remain vacant in the counselling process. The NEET SS is a highly coveted examination which is pathway to the most prestigious medical seats and lakhs of students appear for it. Further the letter mentions that one super specialty doctor serves the society in countless ways and keeping this point in mind, seats cannot be wasted and is a significant academic and healthcare loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter the current counselling process (both round 1 and 2), more than 1000 seats have remained unfilled across the country and this necessitates an urgent solution. In the recent past, the cut off score was decreased significantly to make up for the eligibility. We suggest and request that a similar step can be considered along with the conduct of a mop-up round, for the current session.<\/p>\n

FORDA is requesting a prompt resolution from the DGHS\u00a0and is also asking that the seats that were not joined by candidates which were allotted to them in the counselling round, to be made a part of this mop up round.<\/p>\n

The NEET SS Counselling 2022 Round 2 Result was announced on 4 January and at present the reporting phase is going on.<\/p>\n
