Many languages have been spoken in India out of which Hindi is one of the most spoken languages.\u00a0 Hindi was made an official language by the Central Government. On this day, people celebrate and appreciate the great works of Hindi Literature. To encourage people towards Hindi, several events are organised on this day.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Hindi Diwas: History<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After India got independence in 1949 there were a lot of discussions to make Hindi the official language of India. Then it was decided that 14th September would be observed as Hindi Diwas or Hindi day. It was in the year 1953, that the first Hindi Diwas was celebrated. The reason for celebrating Hindi day is that on this day \u2018A Noble and Famous Hindi Literature Vyahar Rajendra Singha\u2019 was born.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0World Hindi Day: Significance<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hindi language acquired its name from the Persian term \u2018Hind\u2019 which means \u2018the land of Indus\u2019.
