A score of 180 or more is good if someone wants to get admitted into a decent private engineering college. However, those candidates who wish to sit in JEE Advanced must obtain a higher score. Only the top 2,50,000 exam qualifiers will be able to take the JEE Advanced. To put it another way, a high JEE Main score qualifies you for the JEE Advanced exam. A JEE Main score of 250 or higher is regarded as good and a JEE Mains score of 85-95 percentile is ideal for getting into NITs and IITs through the exam. After aggregating a candidate&#8217;s raw grades, NTA uses a normalization formula to determine their percentile rank in Maths, Chemistry, and Physics. This percentile score is also used to determine the JEE Main merit list.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The percentile score is calculated to the seventh decimal place to avoid any potential ties.
