National Technology Day in India is an annual event held every year on May 11th. A day that is dedicated to celebrating the achievements and contributions of scientists, researchers, engineers, and trainers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Each year, National Technology Day has a different theme. The themes changes as per the advancements in the field of research and technology. The theme of National Technology Day 2022<\/a> is ‘An Integrated Approach to Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future’.<\/span><\/p>\n

History of National Technology Day<\/h3>\n

National Technology Day was first officially celebrated on May 11, 1999. The main purpose of the day was to recognize scientific and technological achievements.<\/span><\/p>\n

On May 11, India celebrated National Technology Day to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Pokhran nuclear test in 1998. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, then Prime Minister, marked it a significant day and for the first time, Technology Day came into existence in 1999. The Council for Technology Development declared May 11 as the National Technology Day. It is a day to celebrate the technological development of all scientists, researchers, and engineers and their contributions to the field.<\/span><\/p>\n
