The ministry of education has reconstituted the JEE Apex Board (JAB) for the conduct of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main) for admission to undergraduate (UG) engineering programmes at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). This new examination body will be regulated by Professor Bhaskar Ramamurthy, former director of IIT Madras. The National Testing Agency (NTA) director-general Vineet Joshi will be the member secretary. At the same time, the session 2 exams will be held from 21 to 30 July 2022. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aakash.ac.in\/jee-advanced-exam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JEE Advanced<\/a> exam will be conducted on 28<sup>th<\/sup> August 2022. The application process for the same will begin on 7<sup>th<\/sup> August and will end on 11<sup>th<\/sup> August.<\/p>\n<p>JEE Apex Board (JAB) will have the right to decide the rules and guidelines regarding the conduct of JEE Main examination, which will also coordinate with the JEE Advanced Group and its Chairman. This is a step taken to make the system more transparent and better. The tenure of the previous board ended on 31 March 2022. However, NTA will provide administrative support for the JEE (Main) conduct across the country. The JAB of the IIT system shall continue to assume responsibility for the conduct of the JEE (Advanced).
