Revise your course material thoroughly

Going through the subject-related material again helps students remember the essential topics well. It also puts the brain in the right direction and eliminates the nervousness that might occur during examination.

Reduces stress and anxiety: It is common to feel anxious and nervous during the examination, but a thorough revision of subject-related materials helps to keep the anxiety and stress at par. This eventually helps to focus better in the examination and escalates the level of performance.

Helps to recall answers during examination: A revision is a second or third effort to analyse a certain topic. The advantages of revision for examination include recalling minute details that you may have overlooked the first time you studied the material.

Enhance Confidence: Revising a topic before an examination will help students build confidence. When students revise a topic several times before the exam, they gain confidence in their ability to answer the questions on the exam day. For students, this is one of the most important aspects of revision.

2. Time management

The board exam is the most challenging exam a student will ever face. One key aspect of board examination preparation is acquiring effective time management skills. Follow a daily timetable that you have prepared. Use whatever little time you have for studying since it will help you significantly improve your grades. Study concepts you wish to remember in the morning while your mind is clear. Each subject should be given equal time so that all topics are covered.

3. Work on the weak areas

If you majored in Science, you could be strong in either of the three subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. On the other hand, you could be weak in either.. Identify the weak points and begin working on them so that they do not affect the total percentage. The most common error is that students do not want to study courses in which they are poor. Instead of avoiding the issue, try identifying your weak parts and working on them to score higher marks.

Furthermore, most students neglect the English paper, which may decline the total percentage. Along with preparation for other subjects, make sure you give equal attention to the English paper.

4. Eat properly

Even if you generally skip breakfast or avoid eating when you are worried, you should still eat something. Consider this, and your brain needs energy from food to function properly. You must maintain your mental focus on the exam to perform at your best. It would be a pity to study intensely before your exam, only to be physically exhausted on exam day. Consider a protein drink or smoothie if you absolutely can’t eat anything. Consume brain-boosting foods. This includes diets high in protein, contributing to increased mental alertness. On exam day, healthy foods to eat include eggs, almonds, yoghurt, and cottage cheese.

5. Ask your guardian for support

Many young people experience greater stress in the run-up to examinations. A simple, empathetic move may persuade you to speak up and find a solution to boost your confidence level. Don’t be silent about it, either. Start a conversation with someone close to you, whether your parents, teacher, siblings, or friends. They all have gone through this and might guide you in the right direction.

6. Take a break

Even if you are worried, try not to panic. Take quality sleep

Many students develop the habit of studying late at night to cram a little more study material into their already fatigued minds. Instead, finish studying in the early evening, the night before the exam. After that, relax, eat dinner, put out your clothing for the next day, pack your bag, shower, set a couple of alarms, and go to bed early. You’ve done everything you can. It is preferable to revise the syllabus and keep yourself away from all kinds of distractions before the exam. Students should relax as much as they can by breathing, and have a walk in nature prior to taking exams. To complete the curriculum and answer the questions in the books, study NCERT books to avoid last minute hussle. Take breaks between study sessions to keep your mind refreshed. Also, keeping track of your diet, sleep routine and study timetable eventually will help you enhance your performance level in the examination. This will help a student to evaluate their preparation level.
