MCC&#8217;s decision to conduct a special stray vacancy round has made many MBBS aspirants unhappy.<\/p>\n<p>The rules set by MBBS for these 323 vacant MBBS AIQ seats do not allow already allotted candidates to upgrade or change their seats. Due to this, many aspirants along with their parents have called the rules made by MCC for this special round &#8216;unfair&#8217;. Parents claimed that these seats are vacant in sought-after government medical colleges and may not be opened to students with lower merit ranks. It will be unfair to a section of students, as getting a seat in a government college is highly competitive.<\/p>\n<p>There are many students who have already secured seats in private and deemed medical colleges in the state admission rounds, which was not their top preference. Students are not allowed to cancel after the state admission rounds and now will be stuck with those seats if they are not given the chance to upgrade or change.<\/p>\n<p>MCC&#8217;s latest rule for the special stray vacancy round state that only students who were not allotted any seat in any college are eligible to apply for the round after depositing a refundable security deposit of Rs 50, 000. The rules of the special stray vacancy round for NEET UG Counselling 2021 are fixed and anyone found not following the same is likely to be penalised.
