This time, after looking at the situations around, the board has also relaxed the COVID-19 guidelines for the exam centres.

With COVID-19 cases increasing by the day, the board has asked parents to sensitise students about the health hazards of the Coronavirus and how it can be prevented. They have also been advised to ensure that their ward is not sick at the examination.

Vaccinate Yourself

CBSE has already issued a notice stating that the Govt. of India has started a vaccination program for students aged 15 to 18 to protect them from COVID-19 causes. CBSE has requested schools to encourage parents, teachers, and staff to get the vaccination for their children.

A vaccine increases the chances of blood cells fighting the viruses and protects the body. Students need to vaccinate themselves before Term 2 exams. It will also help them to increase their mental level as they will be free from the stress of getting affected by COVID-19 in any case.

Maintain Social Distancing

Social distancing or physical distancing is allowing enough space between individuals to reduce the spread of disease. It reduces the chances of getting affected by any disease spreading viruses. During the pandemic, it was strictly advised by doctors to keep at least 6-feet distance between them. And, as it is not certain that the world is completely free from COVID-19’s danger, CBSE has issued to maintain social distancing guidelines for school authorities and students during Term 2 exams. CBSE has instructed schools to encourage students not to gather and socialise in big groups upon leaving school grounds.

Wearing Mask is Mandatory

CBSE has issued that wearing face masks should be mandatory, especially when it’s hard to maintain social distance at school. Students must wear a mask with the best fit, protection, and comfort. Parents are advised to teach their children that they should not share their masks with others. It will only increase the chances of spreading bacteria and viruses. Remind them that they should clean their hands before and after touching their mask. The board has also recommended using a face mask or a cloth to cover students’ faces.

To Wash Your Hands Properly

Nowadays, the weather is changing, leading to an increase in the risks of many diseases. So, it is necessary to maintain hygiene. CBSE instructed schools to encourage routines that encourage frequent handwashing and following good hand hygiene practices, such as asking children to cover their mouths and noses with their elbows or tissues when they cough or sneeze and then washing their hands.

CBSE has given guidelines about hand washing methods and their importance. Exam time is crucial, and a small mistake can destroy the students’ hard work. So, it is better to follow this small step and keep away from COVID-19’s danger.

Hand Sanitiser Can Also Work

CBSE has instructed that students carry their hand sanitiser to the examination centre. Whether students are at home or out of the home, it is necessary to understand that cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces can help reduce the risk of illness.

When students perform their Term 2 exam, bring hand sanitiser with them. As they do not know who is sick or affected by COVID-19, it is important to sanitise themself from the other’s touch.

Monitoring Health is Required

Students must maintain their health. Affected of COVID-19 or its symptoms are not good at this time for any Class 10 board student. Therefore, CBSE has advised students to watch for fever, cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms of COVID-19. And if any student feels that any of these symptoms are developing in his body, they have first to take their temperature. Then consult with the doctor.

CBSE has reminded students to not take their temperature within 30 minutes of exercising or after taking medications that could lower their temperature, like acetaminophen.

Some Precaution Measures From COVID-19 For Students To Take During Examination

CBSE has issued some mandatory instructions needed to perform students as they are made for their precaution measures.

Candidates need to reach 30-45 minutes before the exam and maintain social distancing while entering the exam centre and exam halls.

Candidates must bring their face masks. Without face masks, they are not permitted to enter.

Candidates must bring their Admit Card, which their school Principal should authorise.

Candidates must have their hand sanitiser (50 mL).

Candidates can bring a transparent plastic water bottle with them.

Conclusion

The Term 2 exams are on the head now, and students of Class 10 are in their growing youth age. It is difficult to teach them these small things as their minds learn to repulse these things at this age. Therefore, CBSE has mandated these steps for students to follow during exam time to keep them safe and healthy.

The CBSE Board examinations will be held following all COVID-19 pandemic guidelines this year. Wearing a face mask will be a must, and social distancing will be maintained. CBSE has stated that although the measurements mentioned above and ways are instructed for students for Term 2 board exams, school authorities must also follow them.

We hope this article will help you in getting information about the instructions and guidelines given by CBSE.

Also See: CBSE Term 2 Exam Guidelines 2022 | CBSE Guidelines for Class 10 Term 2

FAQs

1.
