CBSE has released the class 12th Physics syllabus. The CBSE has separated the entire syllabus into two semesters, with exams for each term being held independently. The Physics syllabus for CBSE Class 12th consists of 9 units and 14 chapters separated into two terms. The Physics syllabus board has awarded four units in the first term of class 12th and five units in the second term. The theoretical portion will be worth 70 points, while the evaluation scheme will be worth 30 points.

Students should pay great attention to the Physics concepts for class 12th and understand the fundamental ideas of Physics from NCERT textbooks. Students will not be allowed the luxury of MCQs this time. There will be short and long answer-type questions for the Physics examination. However, only the remaining 50% of the syllabus will be tested (5 units), so students will still have a chance to earn better grades. The second term paper is a total of 50 marks. The written paper in this term contains a total of 35 marks. The remaining 15 marks will be awarded based on internal assessments and practical exams held at respective CBSE schools.

Important Chapters

One or two chapters are not of utmost importance in subjects like Physics. All the chapters are important. It is undeniable that there is a different weightage for every chapter for CBSE 12th Physics term two examinations. Some chapters have more weightage over the others. Students often skip the chapters with less weightage and dedicate their time to high-weightage chapters. Remember that each mark is counted in your percentage. Students should not be careless to leave the topics covering fewer marks. Even half a point can have a huge impact on a student’s result. Hence, all the chapters of Physics are crucial for the CBSE Physics exam.
