Everyone grapples with lack of confidence at least once in their life but what is of significance is not letting that derail you from what you have set out to accomplish. In order to pursue a successful life, what matters most is to have faith in one\u2019s own abilities and the willingness to get up every time you fall. Contemplating the life of Steve Jobs<\/strong>, one can ascertain that setbacks never deterred his spirit or belief. Despite enormous failures, he believed in himself which led to big breakthroughs in his life.<\/p>\n

As Martin Luther King, Jr puts up, \u201cFaith is taking the first step even when you don\u2019t see the whole staircase<\/em>\u201d. Reflecting on his achievements, one can determine that it was his belief in self that made it possible for him and many others to indelibly impact the world in positive ways. Even if we cannot see, that the hard work we are putting in today is going to pay off someday, faith reminds us that it will. Conviction in your abilities inspires and encourages you to follow your dreams and take chances even if you are uncertain of its possible outcomes.<\/p>\n

With exams around the corner, do not always fret and fume. Instead focus on starting your day with a positive mindset and faith that things are going to turn out well. Faith helps you build endurance and the will to succeed and overcome all the hurdles that comes your way. Having a strong self belief not only boosts your confidence and enhances your personality but also teaches you how to set your priorities. However, he, who has no confidence in his abilities, can never achieve success and satisfaction. He will never feel the motivation to achieve his goal and will tend to follow the herd. It is, thus, imperative to build faith by making a list of possibilities and plan short term goals to change what you can.<\/p>\n

A constructive and well defined approach towards studies can stimulate your confidence and help brave topics that you are saddled with.In times of despair, talking to a mentor or friend can stand you in a good stead. It can help unlock your inhibitions and fear by enlightening the candle of hope, thereby developing courage, patience, perseverance, endurance and determination in you. In the book, \u201cUp From Slavery<\/em>\u201d, Booker T Washington rightly remarks, \u201csweet are the uses of adversity<\/em>\u201d. Despite adverse situations and challenges that were thrown at him by life, he never lost hope and it was his faith in his abilities and his willingness to learn that he overcame all of them and fought against all odds setting examples for millions of us.<\/p>\n

In addition to proper guidance, mentoring and peer support, teachers and parents also play a key role in building and restoring faith in children. You look up to them for inspiration as well as comfort and a few words of courage from them can infuse in you, an unwavering determination, persistence and willingness to succeed. Teachers, in particular, can provide you with valuable insights on the graveness of having faith in one\u2019s own abilities especially during the crucial time of examinations.<\/p>\n

Apart from that, students should learn to cultivate self-belief by striving sufficiently for their goals and believing that they can and they will. It was optimism in the faith that led Helen Keller to achieve success despite her physical disabilities. It was her courage and confidence that made her the first deaf-blind person to graduate from college.<\/p>\n

Whilst there is still a fair amount of fear and scepticism surrounding one\u2019s own abilities, having confidence and fortitude in one can definitely lead to success. For those who have been strenuously and diligently preparing for their exams, it is an opportunity to understand that faith is the foundation stone of the path to success that guides and motivates you when you feel like giving up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
