The Board examination result undoubtedly reflects a student\u2019s calibre and is a benchmark of his\/her academic prowess.<\/p>\n<p>With the commencement of CBSE Board exams 2022 in around a month\u2019s time, here are some subject-wise success tips to help you score well in Class X Term-II Board Examinations as per the updated paper pattern and marking scheme:<\/p>\n<h3>SCIENCE<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>As per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aakash.ac.in\/ncert-solutions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NCERT solutions<\/a>, some chapters\/topics have been deleted in Science. Thus, understand the reduced syllabus and thoroughly practice the questions based on it. Emphasis should be given on application-based questions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Case study questions from important topics<\/strong>:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Physics<\/strong> \u2013 Electrical circuit, Common measuring instruments, Joule\u2019s heating effect of current, Magnetic field and field lines, Force on a moving charge in a magnetic field, Electric motor, Electromagnetic induction<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biology<\/strong> \u2013 Reproductive system in human beings, Monohybrid and Dihybrid cross, Food chain and Food Web<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chemistry<\/strong> \u2013 Modern Periodic Table, Bonding of carbon<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tools of revision<\/strong> \u2013 Memorise \u2018<strong>Summary<\/strong>\u2019 of each lesson carefully. Create <strong>Flowcharts<\/strong> to remember\u00a0concepts in a concise manner for revision in less time. Use <strong>flashcards<\/strong> as a quick recollection tool. In Physics, <strong>formulae and proper sign conventions<\/strong> should be tabulated for quick recap.<\/li>\n<li>In Biology and Chemistry, practice labelling of diagrams\/reactions.<\/li>\n<li>Thoroughly focus on the lines of NCERT textbook with a subjective approach in understanding fundamentals.<\/li>\n<li>Practice chapter-wise Solved Examples and back exercises from NCERT texts.<\/li>\n<li>Solve available Mock Test Papers in a timed manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>MATHEMATICS<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyse the rationalized syllabus along with the updated paper pattern and marking scheme.<\/li>\n<li>Thoroughly practice Subjective type questions to learn the step-wise method of answering questions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Important chapters<\/strong> &#8211; Quadratic Equations, Arithmetic Progressions, Circles, Surface Areas and Volumes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Case study questions from important topics<\/strong>: \u2018Surface Areas and Volumes\u2019 and \u2018Some applications of Trigonometry\u2019<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tools of revision<\/strong> \u2013 Use <strong>flash cards<\/strong> as a quick recollection tool and tabulate <strong>formulae, identities and sign conventions<\/strong> for quick recap<\/li>\n<li>Repeatedly practice NCERT and Exemplar problems.<\/li>\n<li>Solve Sample papers for both basic and standard Mathematics within stipulated time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>SOCIAL SCIENCE<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In-depth study of NCERT \u2013 <\/strong>Since Social Science is both fact and concept based, clarify and ingrain your concepts by repeated readings of NCERT. Relating chapters and concepts in an interconnected manner helps you identify your weak areas.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Analysis of examination pattern &#8211; <\/strong>The detailed \u2018blueprint of the examination pattern and subject-wise distribution of marks issued by CBSE must be analysed. Practice writing answers in points as per the marking scheme.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Distribute time for each subject in advance as per content &#8211; <\/strong>Time must be dedicated to each subject in advance. Keep in mind that some chapters require more time for revision. All four subjects &#8211; History, Geography, Economics and Political science carry equal weightage.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Real time practice &#8211; <\/strong>For effective preparation, attempt the sample papers just like actual Board exams and improve upon your mistakes thereafter.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Map based questions &#8211; <\/strong>Practice map-based questions from History and Geography<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>ENGLISH<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Reading Comprehension:<\/strong> Read the questions before jumping to the passage. Even if the passage is long or with difficult vocabulary, skim through the information and seek relevant ideas to find the correct answer as per questions asked.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Writing:<\/strong> Practice writing letters with correct formats, formal tone and expression. Avoid using fancy, verbose writing style. Comprehensive, clear and logical style of argumentation must be practiced. For analytical paragraph, use comparative phrases while preparing the report of the bar graphs, pie-charts, etc. Write conclusion of the report in clear words, rather than using fancy quotes or idiomatic expressions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Grammar:<\/strong> Practice Editing, Omission, Gap-filling questions based on tenses, subject-verb agreement, prepositions, and other parts of speech. Sentence Transformation questions must be carefully practiced in dialogue conversion and process writing format.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Literature:<\/strong> Write short answers in a single paragraph and long answers in two to three paragraphs. Accuracy of writing must be maintained along with value points. Avoid writing lengthy summary of the chapters in answers and state the main idea of the questions clearly.<\/li>\n<li>Attempt the paper with a strategy that suits your paper attempting style. Begin with questions that you are most confident about. After covering a major set of questions, proceed with questions that take more reading time.<\/li>\n<li>Revise Literature chapters and poems thoroughly. Do line-by-line analysis of all implied idea-based questions that can be asked in the paper. Revise all the literary devices and figures of speech used in both prose and poetry section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>HINDI &amp; other Languages<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand the syllabus &amp; paper pattern thoroughly to devise an effective preparation strategy for the exam.<\/li>\n<li>Read the chapters thoroughly focusing on the tone, mood, theme and character traits of the speaker.<\/li>\n<li>Critical appreciation of the poems and lessons is crucial. The central themes and message imparted through the chapters must be remembered.<\/li>\n<li>Solve <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aakash.ac.in\/downloads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previous year question papers\/mock papers<\/a> to develop time-management skills and accuracy of writing.<\/li>\n<li>Practice writing answers and solve grammatical questions.
