The real journey of a student starts when he\/she passes their 12 board examinations <\/a>and starts working towards pursuing their dream career. But before 12 exams, students are so busy studying and trying to score well that they don\u2019t even think about which career they want to pursue after 12th. It is most likely the case for PCM students as all the subjects – Maths, Physics, and Chemistry are soo difficult. Many students are clueless about their desired field and waste a lot of time figuring it out. Even though that science stream is difficult but has its own perks when it comes to a decent career. Time is money and you can\u2019t afford to lose on time just because you\u2019re confused about your career after the 12th. This is why we have drafted this blog stating the top 5 career opportunities after Science PCM:\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

1. Engineering\u00a0<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Engineering is one of the most opted career options for students with science streams in India. It is true that you need to score high marks to get admission to the top engineering colleges, but if you score decent marks you still can pursue an engineering course like B.Tech, or B.E\u00a0 from an average college. After completing their respective bachelor’s courses, candidates can apply for various positions like Data Analyst, Website Developer, Software Engineer, Database Designer, etc. Students can also enroll in an engineering course with a specialized field like Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, etc.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

2. Bachelors of Architecture (B. Arch)\u00a0<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

After engineering, B.Arch is the second most opted career option amongst PCM students. The course revolves around the study of designing, processing, and construction of buildings. The course is a combination of ideas, arts, and then figuring things out to turn them into real structures. The course includes an in-depth study of scientific and mathematical calculations to design the whole structure. After completion of B.Arch, many students pursue Masters in Designing or Masters in Arch. An architect can apply for positions like an interior designer, architecture engineer, architecture designer, etc.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

3. Pilot\u00a0<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Many students dream of flying high, if you are one of them then it is the right career option for you. The job of a pilot does not just let you fly high but it actually gives you wings of achieving what you have dreamed of. This profession revolves around mathematics, science, and technology, you will get to travel a lot from city to city or country to country. This may look appealing but a job of a pilot comes with its own responsibilities as they\u2019re responsible for the safety of passengers or teammates along with their own safety. A candidate needs to go through multiple selection processes varying from the physical test, written test, and flying test. There are many types of pilot jobs including commercial pilot, private pilot, airforce pilot, etc.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

4. Merchant Navy\u00a0<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you\u2019re mesmerized by the oceans and can spend days just by looking at them then Merchant Navy is definitely your calling. The job of a Merchant Navy candidate operates in oceans or seas and is about transporting goods, services, or trading in different countries via sea. The workers stay on the ship to carry goods, fix machinery, and maintain the ship. There are multiple roles that a candidate can apply for like radio officer, deck officer, or chief engineering officer.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

5. National Defence Services\u00a0<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you have a passion for protecting the motherland, you should definitely join National Defence as they offer the most respected and prestigious career options. There is a total of three national defense services where a candidate can serve including the Indian Air Force, the Indian Army, and The Indian Navy. Students can join National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Indian Airforce Academy, OTA (Officers Training Academy), and Indian Military Academy for pursuing the same.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
